Attitude Makes A Big Difference!

small-things-big-difference
Have you ever seen a big ship leave the dock as it prepares to sail the big seas? I recently watched a huge ship pulled out, turned around, and pushed out by a tiny tug boat as it left Sydney harbor to set sail for Tahiti. I was totally mesmerized by the power of a small tugboat; I could not believe such a small thing could literally turn around an entire ship.

I realized yet again that little things have great power.
A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.
If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
Small things in the hands of a big God can make a big difference.
We so often devalue things because they seem so small or insignificant, but never forget

A small attitude adjustment can make a big difference in a relationship.
A small change in spending habits can make a big difference to your bottom line.
A small shift in your thinking can make a big difference in your attitude.
A small investment can yield a great return.
A small change in diet can make a big difference in your health.
A small change in your exercise routine can result in big fitness leaps.

We rarely move big distances in one jump. We normally make small incremental changes that over the course of time make a big difference!

This story starts out as they all do, children. It’s much like a fairy tale, with the opening all serene and peaceful and delicate. This story starts out with,
Once Upon A Time.
Once Upon a Time, not too long ago, there existed a magical race of men. These people were everything and nothing all at once. Scientists call these people ‘humans’. These people were humble and thoughtful, and they listened when spoken to and didn’t take everything so seriously all the time. These people thought before they spoke. Humans were an amazing race.
Since then, these ‘humans’ have de-evolved. They have become cold, heartless, a blatant interruption, and they now avoid imperative devoirs. They retain the same basic physical shape of humans in the past, but they are internally missing important features. But they must not have ears, for they no longer listen. They must not have eyes, for they no longer see anything (and if they do see, it’s not clearly). Humans must have shed legs, arms, hands, and fingers long ago, because nothing is ever done independently anymore. But, just like every other law, or possibility, or hypothesis has gone; there are exceptions to this ‘rule’.
Never had this place ever seen anything like him. He was full to spilling: filled with thoughts, words, and emotions. All things that ungratefully breathed around him were empty: so empty and silent that you could hear words dropping and banging around their internal organs as they ‘listen’ to his words. He didn’t understand why: why these people could be so empty; so decomposed. Their lives had never even begun, and yet, they had already started to die.
One day, everything changed. There was a second exception to this rule that he had never met before. On the surface, she was just like everyone else: vapid and useless and jejune. The words fell and landed with a dull thud; just like everyone else, but they did one thing that didn’t occur in anyone save herself and the boy. Instead of just flowing out from her feet to the floor, the words gathered. He had expressed himself often, so the words gathered quickly. She gained a new understanding of the world, and she was left flat-out terrified.
After awhile, he stopped talking. Then, and only then, did she talk back. This was his turn to be flabbergasted. Never before had anyone stopped to even listen to what he said, let alone comprehend and respond positively to it. He stared at her with expressive eyes, finally realizing that this person wasn’t empty anymore.
Her response was a changing event for him. No longer was he ignored and stared at with empty faces that had “you’re weird” painted on them. Her psychological resurrection fulfilled him.
Well, what happened to the other humans, you ask? It’s the simplest answer in the history of mankind: nothing! Nothing changed for them deep things fell to the bottom as they always had. They lived, breathed, and existed as they had for the previous centuries. But for the exceptions

They Finally Lived, happily ever after. It’s just about the attitude we carry, we build up. A small aroma of positivity in your attitude will bring a big difference in life.

**Attitude** What do you mean by the word ‘attitude’? Many people think that attitude is being proud, egoistic and selfish. Attitude is fairly not the characteristics as mentioned. Attitude is the very gist of an individual’s way of thinking; it is an individual’s ideals, his concepts of right and wrong, and all his/her aspirations. Attitude is being good i.e promoting good thoughts towards the positive side. Attitude is of two basic types. One is positive or pleasant attitude and the second negative or harsh attitude. In a nutshell, attitude can be defined as the totality of the individual himself. Man is, I’d say, what his attitude is. His thinking, his views, his likes, and dislikes are all enveloped in the single word i.e. ‘attitude’.

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.

We often say that, attitude makes a man – yes, once an attitude has developed, it is there to stay, and it plays a very important role in molding the man. Once the attitude of an individual is happy and wholesome, he continues to grow with this attitude and live with it. Living with this happy attitude makes him a better man, and then he keeps on improving as an individual – all this because of his healthy and happy attitude. The attitude persists and becomes more and more pleasant a man with the passage of time. If his attitude is healthy, it will radiate towards him only and make him better and better. Thus the environment changes the attitude of a man and the man then is made by his attitude. In the same way, if the attitude of an individual is one of continued resentment towards all that is his and is around him, this attitude will also radiate towards him only, and continue to make him a worse and worse individual. This effect of attitude on the individual is a continuous process and keeps molding the individual for the better or the worse. It serves just as a vicious circle, the good become better with a good attitude, and the bad and the unhappy become worse and more unhappy with their respective attitudes to life and all there is in it. Thus, when we realize that attitude of a person has such a deep impact on his personality we must try to have a straight, honest, and healthy attitude towards everything and everybody around us. If we do so, we will be able to appreciate our surroundings and get appreciation in return. It is our attitude to life and all there is in it that makes us happy or unhappy, pleasant or unpleasant, even wanted or unwanted in the society. It is for us to try to develop a healthy attitude and be easy and comfortable with life and all that it has to offer. I am sure, if we learn to take life as it comes, with a smile there will be no cause to be unhappy at any stage of life.

Well, I came across a very beautiful short story and would love to share it with my readers, it is slight different from the article, but the story tempted me to share it.
It is said that, it depends on a person’s karma pointing where he will lead to after death; hell or heaven.
Once man died and he went to heaven. There he came towards God and annoyingly asked him,
“Lord, there is so much of corruption, hatred, terrorism, illegal activities going on; why don’t you send an angel or someone to finish all this stuff?”
God smilingly replied,
“My son, I had sent you for that purpose only, what did you do there?”
The wisdom we get from this instance is that, God doesn’t perform any magic, WE do! He shows us the way to do it. Like this, Mahabharata would have ended in a minute if Lord Krishna would have picked up his weapon. But, instead the way to guide Arjuna and lead the good side to the victory!

  1. It was eyes opening. The depth with which you have written and the way you have made us think, at least me, is awesome. Yes, attitude matters a lot on how his/her life is going to be. A person who keep back bitching about someone and is always complaining, can’t have a good life himself. That’s how it is.., Keep it up! Looking forward for more..
